The 2024 Construction Power 100

The executives and officials building a better New York.

New York City is in the midst of a dynamic transformation, and it’s the construction industry that’s leading the charge. The city’s airports are getting major makeovers, transitioning from dreaded layovers to some of the nation’s finest. Big changes are also happening in public transit, with a new bus terminal, updated subway cars, infrastructure improvements, and an extension of the Second Avenue subway line. Much of this is funded by an innovative congestion pricing system.

The skyline of New York is also witnessing a revolution, with the real estate sector continuously planning and executing new developments. Moreover, the city’s commitment to clean energy and addressing climate change is making significant environmental impacts. This whirlwind of activity is generating a surge in construction jobs.
