Michigan Ave lanes closing at I-275 for construction
CANTON, Mich. (FOX 2) – Lanes on Michigan Avenue in Canton are closing soon for pedestrian improvements.
Starting April 15, the I-275 interchange will be closed until July for upgrades that include enhancing signals, crosswalks, ramps, and sidewalks.
The right turn lane on westbound Michigan Avenue at Haggerty Road will be shut down. Drivers will be rerouted: they’ll continue west to northbound Lilley Road, then take eastbound Palmer Road to reach Haggerty Road.
During the construction at the intersection, a temporary pedestrian crosswalk will be established on both eastbound and westbound Michigan Avenue at Haggerty Road.
