Employees of local construction company say they didn't get paid
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Now to the follow-through. This is our commitment to staying on top of stories that matter to you and our community.
Back in January, we reported on the struggles faced by clients of GLK Construction Company, who reached out to us after experiencing prolonged delays, numerous failed inspections, and premature requests for payments.
Now, the narrative takes another turn as we hear from former employees claiming unpaid wages. Additionally, we’re digging deeper into other signs of the company’s financial troubles.
In a previous interview, GLK Construction Company’s owner, Jeremiah Klotz, acknowledged the nature of setbacks in construction. “Delays are a part of the construction process,” Klotz had stated during our January conversation, which primarily focused on the prolonged timelines and issues in his construction and renovation endeavors.
We’ve received multiple complaints from customers about Klotz’s projects, citing poor workmanship and significant delays that extended well beyond their initially promised completion dates.
