Covington alerts residents of 3 a.m. concrete pour at OneNKY Center construction site beginning Tuesday

Residents near the OneNKY Center construction at Greenup Street and Roebling Way might notice trucks rolling in earlier than usual this Tuesday.

But there’s no need to worry – it’s just a one-time thing, not a regular occurrence.

The team from Paul Hemmer Co. has planned the early start for Tuesday, marking the first of three special 3 a.m. concrete pours. This unusual timing is all about avoiding the busy morning traffic and ensuring the hot daytime temperatures don’t affect the concrete’s curing process.

The other two early morning pours are scheduled for April 26 and May 28, weather allowing.

Jeff Guenther, the superintendent at Paul Hemmer Co., assures that they’ll do everything possible to minimize noise and light pollution for the neighborhood. He’s also been chatting with residents and management of nearby buildings to give them a heads-up about the plans.
