Construction underway on 40,000 square-foot pickleball facility in The Villages
THE VILLAGES, Fla. – A membership-based, high-amenity indoor pickleball facility is coming to Central Florida. The Pickleball Club has chosen The Villages for its next location and construction is already underway.
The new facility will be situated adjacent to Saddlebrook Executive Golf Course on NE 62nd Terrace. Spanning 40,000 square feet, this climate-controlled structure will feature 16 indoor courts. Additionally, it will boast two sheltered outdoor courts and a pair of bocce ball courts. Enthusiasts of pickleball can look forward to a spacious 3,667-square-foot lounge, a professional shop, and a café.
Key construction achievements will encompass the completion of north and south interior court foundations and the installation of essential utilities at the site.

The Villages will see the opening of The Pickleball Club in the autumn of 2024.
The company aims to launch 15 clubs within the next half-decade. Among other planned locations is Orlando, where a 33,800-square-foot facility will be developed at 1427 N. Semoran Blvd. The commencement of construction is targeted for June 2024, with an anticipated opening in the summer of 2025.
