Concrete Epoxy Crack Repair Tips
- Initiate with a low-pressure injection setting and adjust the pressure as required.
- For more extensive cracks, elevate the epoxy injection pressure.
- Eliminate the upper seal using a chisel or scraper, and if needed, a heat gun can aid in removing epoxy paste.
- For sizeable cracks, allow some time—though not excessive—to ensure the epoxy effectively fills the concrete crack.
- Beware of epoxy backflow, which might arise due to debris hindering the epoxy flow or due to a non-continuous crack.
- In case of a minor leak in the top seal, consider using a crayon to seal the small area. This is advisable only for minor leaks.
- When faced with a significantly wide crack, the injection technique might not suffice. Prior to proceeding, verify if the crack's extent is manageable and can be addressed using the crack kit.
- For narrower cracks, apply a bead of caulk along the concrete crack's side, positioned at least 1/8" from the crack's edge. This establishes an area suitable for epoxy application, minimizing wastage.
