"New Construction Work Includes Closure On Perry SW"

April marks the season for road construction projects, and Perry Township in Ohio is no exception. One of the major undertakings is the widening of Perry Drive SW, stretching between West Tusc and Southway Street. Starting Monday, this project will lead to the closure of the nearby railroad tracks at Southway for 19 days. This closure is necessary for relocating a gas line.

If you usually travel through this area, the engineer’s office recommends using Raff Road as a detour. Additionally, drivers should be aware of lane restrictions on Manchester Avenue SW, or Route 93 in Tuscarawas Township, between Routes 172 and 241 due to drainage work.

In Akron, continued overnight closures are expected at the Central Interchange. Eastbound and southbound traffic near the interchange will be detoured from 10 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday. Also, the ramp from 77 North to 76 West will be temporarily closed.
